This week in our Transforming Thoughts book club, we continued our study of Ears That Hear by Patricia King by diving into Chapters 2 and 3: “Position to Hear” and “Preparing Yourself to Hear.”
We explored how hearing God isn’t complicated—it begins with belief and positioning our hearts to receive. The Holy Spirit, God’s gift to us, makes the voice of the Father clear. From Moses in the Tent of Meeting to Mary sitting at Jesus’ feet, we see the fruit of stillness and intimacy with God.
💡 Chapter 2 reminded us that cultivating a lifestyle of worship, stillness, and expectation opens us up to clearly hear God’s voice.
🧼 Chapter 3 took us deeper, identifying obstacles to hearing—like unconfessed sin, distractions, and unbelief—and gave us practical steps to clean our "spiritual ears."
We also talked about the importance of preparing your environment and your intention—approaching God with a clear purpose. Whether it's intimacy or direction, clarity helps us discern His voice.
✨ We gather live every Thursday at 7:15 PM PT on Clubhouse. Come join us!
🎧 Replays are available here on Substack 24 hours after each session.
📝 Bring a journal as you listen, and reflect on how you’re being invited to grow. What’s one thing the Lord is speaking to you this week?
Let the Word and the witness of your story rise.
We’ll see you next Thursday as we wrap up with Chapters 4 & 5!
